Twins-Guardians game set to air on FOX 9 postponed due to rain

The Brief

    • FOX 9 was set to air Tuesday night's game between the Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Guardians, but it has been postponed due to rain.
    • Monday's suspended game will resume at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday. The regularly scheduled game will follow.
    • The Twins and Guardians will play Tuesday's game as part of a doubleheader on Sept. 20.

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The Minnesota Twins were set to host the Cleveland Guardians on FOX 9, but the game has been postponed due to rain.

Twins' officials say Monday night's game, which didn't make it out of the fourth inning due to rain, will resume at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday with the Twins up 2-1. The game originally set for Wednesday will follow.

The Twins say Tuesday's game against the Guardians will be part of a Sept. 20 doubleheader.

What they're saying:

Twins officials say if you have tickets to Wednesday's originally scheduled 12:40 p.m. game, you can use that ticket to attend both the resumption of Monday's game, and the regularly scheduled game.

If you had tickets to Tuesday's game that was rained out, you can use them for the 12:10 p.m. game on Saturday, Sept. 20 without taking any action.

After a slow start to the year, the Twins are on fire in the month of May. The team is back home after an incredible 13-game win streak that came to an end over the weekend.

The streak pushed the Twins to second in the AL Central, now trailing the Detroit Tigers by 4.5 games. The Guardians aren't far behind in the division, trailing the Twins by half a game.

While we're talking about streaks, the Twins are also undefeated (4-0) in games that have aired on FOX 9 this season.
